Acted for Colin Stagg, cleared of the notorious murder of Rachel Nickell after successful submissions at the onset of the trial. Jim thereafter spent more than a decade defending Colin against a campaign of vilification in the media that only ceased when another man pleaded guilty to the crime in December 2008.
Jim appeared on the ITV programme Rachel Nickell: The Untold Story – who killed Rachel Nickel on Thursday 8th March 2018. In a series of interviews on the documentary Jim discussed the flaws in the so called “evidence” relied upon by the police and explained the unique pressures involved in defending an innocent man charged with murder when confronted by a flawed investigation and an implacably hostile – and sadly misled – media.”
